He didn't give up in the choke. The giving up part happened when he went for the take down. However, in MMA it's different than boxing man. going into the sweet unconsciousness isn't nice. he tapped a fight he was losing either way and lives to fight another day without any real damage done.

My problem with it is, the man thought he was the baddest fighter on the planet and his groupies were worse than GGG fans on their best or worst day. For this guy being such a bad ass, he mentally broke when he fought a guy that was tougher and he also gassed out. In NO WAY WHATSOEVER does an elite athlete in any respective sport GAS out lmao! Imagine if Curry or LBJ stopped half court to take a breather? lol! I get some fighters are "head cases" and mentally break but the fact that he gassed because "he was throwing to hard" shows the dude is not on an elite level. Also to the dismay of Trump & Mcgregor supporters, I think he is done, even if he drops back down to fight 5'2" guys, Diaz ruined him guaranteed.
Quite possibly the worst comparison i've ever seen.

I wouldn't say he quit. He wasn't in the crook of an elbow. Diaz had his forearm pressing on his windpipe. Outside the comparatively safer environs of the octagon, that move can be used to kill with rapidity, by crushing the windpipe wit a sudden explosion of force. Holm was A, against a woman, and B was not having her windpipe crushed the same as Con Con was.

Of interest to me is Connor abandoned his strongest suit.."striking"... to take it to a place Diaz swims like a fish in water.. the ground. If anything was close to a quitting type of spirit, it's when he abandoned his strength and went for a takedown. Story of the fight for me is he couldnt hurt Diaz... yeah he made Diaz bleed but so does a gust of wind. Couldn't hurt him.

This is more telling of "quitting". He knew he was done and went for a hail mary which also happens to be a helluva lot better than getting KTFO on your feet. When he went for the ground, it was apparent he had lost the fight mentally.

that choke was in soooo tight and also knowing that it's a diaz bro who has it on you ... uuuf.

What exactly does that have to do with the comparison?

I don't think chokes should be legal for one.

For two, no he was smart, getting choked out can cause brain damage or worse, there's a line between bravery and ******ity

Any athlete at an elite level shouldnt gas out. And you know its true, but I understand you backing your boy.
