Did Conor McGregor quit? To tap or not to tap

My problem with it is, the man thought he was the baddest fighter on the planet and his groupies were worse than GGG fans on their best or worst day. For this guy being such a bad ass, he mentally broke when he fought a guy that was tougher and he also gassed out. In NO WAY WHATSOEVER does an elite athlete in any respective sport GAS out lmao! Imagine if Curry or LBJ stopped half court to take a breather? lol! I get some fighters are "head cases" and mentally break but the fact that he gassed because "he was throwing to hard" shows the dude is not on an elite level. Also to the dismay of Trump & Mcgregor supporters, I think he is done, even if he drops back down to fight 5'2" guys, Diaz ruined him guaranteed.
He was never the baddest man on the planet. He should go to 155 and stay put. He looks like a giant over those 145 guys lol
I feel you though, elite athletes shouldnt gas....when did Manny or Floyd gas or mentally quit?
He was overrated but a good fighter never the less. Im not a fan of the submissions because it leaves to much room to quit

Well any tapping is quitting, but his was reasonable. Diaz had that choke locked in tight, and McGregor was done even before he was on the floor. A bit quick but he wasn't gonna get out of that anyway.

I'm sure he has had to train a lot in that area, but perhaps it's just going through the motions stuff and he doesn't have skilled guys cranking chokes on him like he should. I think he needs to get serious and spend a few months at someplace like AKA and get real, elite camp experience. His station and ego might prevent that but I've long said he's NOT a super-talented guy. He's an aggressive kickboxer being pushed because he's got an Irish warrior gimmick.
He was exposed on a grand scale....get him to the ground and he is like a fish out of water.
Dana White may keep him away from black belts until he has a few tune ups

I didn't see the fight. I have always enjoyed and admired McGregor's fighting skills. Two seconds seems fast to tap out so only he knows if he quit. He doesn't seem like the type to lose on purpose and he has no history of doing that. A choke hold is a dangerous, potentially life threatening hold. It's not a good idea to let yourself be choked very long without taping out.
