In fairness, Showtime Special Edition shows aren't the same as BADs. BADs have world title fights. Showtime Special Editions are closer to ShoBox shows - inexpensive shows mainly for the hardcore.

I would equate Showtime Special Editions to HBO Boxing After Dark. There weren't any Special Editions in 2015 as far as I know, but there were 4 at the end of 2014, and the last 3 were headlined by a title fight (Barthelemy-Saucedo IBF 130, Lara-Smith WBA 154, Stevenson-Sukhotsky WBC 175).

Special Editions are secondary to Showtime Championship Boxing like Boxing After Dark is secondary to HBO World Championship Boxing.

That is a 20 percent rise in viewership from Ortiz's previous HBO appearance in his exciting seventh-round knockout of Bryant Jennings on Dec. 19, which averaged 616,000 viewers. Welterweight Jessie Vargas' hard-fought ninth-round knockout of Sadam Ali to win a vacant world title in the co-feature averaged 726,000 viewers with a peak of 848,000 viewers.
