Ortiz averaged about what he did last fight. Good to keep the pace, but better to increase the audience. Thanks for posting Pigeons.

It seems the last 2 weeks about 1 mil fans watched boxing and the split has been about 70/30 choosing HBO over SHowtime.

Shame that these cards were against each other. I DVR'd both, same as last week.

Yep, the numbers are slightly up from Ortiz's last fight (and the opening bout of Vargas-Ali did much higher number than the one from his last fight).

This is about what the average audience is for BAD cards.

No wonder HBOS boxing budget continues to drop then...

Meaningless fights and HBO should know better. Old school BAD fights were great. Up and comers ready to kill each other for the chance at exposure and building a name and they didn't have to shell out big money for the fights. I love boxing and didn't bother to watch the Ortiz vs Thompson miss-match. What was the last pick em fight any of the networks put on for that matter?

True. It didn't last long enough to remember, but yeah. Good match up on paper.
