Signed to fight Chavez and then ADDED a $1,000,000 per/lb penalty AFTER the fact and then Bob Arum killed the fight. He an over rated Robda Rousey/Conor McGregor hype job. Hell NEVER move up in weight and continues to chase ex-139 lbers. How many weight classes has hypegggnb fought at??? Everyone he fought in the amatuer now fight at higher weight classes. Good luck watching that SHTY Peter Wade fight...
Wade is GGG's mandatory. Who is Canelo's mandatory again? Oh yes, it's GGG!

Talk to us when Canelo stops ducking his mandatories, coz I don't recall GGG ever ducking a mandatory.

I completely agree and I'm not a GGG fan. Now explain how all that nonsense you typed stops Canelo from being a little by B!tch holding the MW title hostage?

      I'll wait....

That really was a pathetic attempt to deflect

Well lets not act like he wouldn't happily drop his belt to got to 154 for a Floyd fight... Both are hypocritical and don't challenge themselves.

It doesn't! Trust me when I say Canelo is going to lose a TON of FANS. If Sept. 2016 comes around and GGG/Canelo are not fighting. The only way he might remotely keep some fans if he moves his weight up to at least 157. I know I don't like it either but GGG needs to take that offer if that's the only hold up. He weighs 159 almost all the time anyways. That's halfway. If it's a good fight an requires a rematch...That better be 160. Again I don't like it but sometimes you have to give a lil ti get a lil. GGG can make 157+ and have 24+hours to gain his 3 lbs back.

And before this I don't think I've ever seen Canelo back down. He has until Sept. 2016 before I jump ship. You don't negotiate in February for a fight in Sept. AND when you both have a fight or 2 in the summer...

Also I aint gonna call GGG a ducker but it's not like he was foaming at the mouth to prove himself against Ward. A guy ranked P4P higher than BOTH him and Canelo... And anyone says GGG would of destroyed Ward don't know sht about boxing! I gamble a lot and know a lot of ppl who was willing to put BIG $$$$$ on WARD. I'm one of them. I'll always take a GREAT bigger guy over a GREAT smaller guy. ESPECIALLY since GGG has NEVER fought anyone CLOSE to Wards skills as a pro. And he had trouble with true boxers in the amateurs before. Go watch Andre Dirrell and him fight they went 1-1.

I know GGG can scrap. He passes the eye test. Everyone knows he can box. We just want to see him fight better opponents before we put him in the Boxing Hall Of Fame. I still remember Broner was once ranked in the P4P top 10. Before he moved up in weight and got exposed. Just think if he never moved up we would never know how good or bad he was.
Most people fail to realize how different mma and boxing really are. Boxing has its styles but its still boxing, mma has many different types of fighting. An mma fighter might have a great run but it wont last forever. I dont think there will ever be a Floyd like run in mma. Too many different styles, the training is unbelievable and the body just cant keep up with age. What Conor did was incredible in fighting Diaz. Diaz or others can say what they want, he was shape, just didnt have to cut. Conor battered him that first round, not many guys outta shape would have taken that beating. I had lost interest in mma since the Randy Couture/Brock Lesnar days but with Conor in there I have a reason to turn it back on. Best part it all, through all the trash talking Conor did he took the lose like a man. I hope he comes back defends his title or wins that 155 pound title.

GGG will get his shot, I am a fan of his right now. I think he has something most fighters dont. Will he get exposed?..maybe but probably not. Could he lose...sure, but would losing to a guy like Ward expose him as a fraud? What would that say about Ward then? GGG is good for the sport, he cares about division, titles, and fighting. Not many fighters today agree.

"He's the MW champ doe." Yeah, well, blame Cotto for that. Not Canelo. The fight was always about Cotto, not the MW championship. Most people who follow boxing know that he was chasing Cotto since 2013.

As far as him having the MW strap now, well, that's just it now, he's not going to just give away his most valuable bargaining chip now because "it's the moral thing to do." Business doesn't work that way, ladies. Sorry, welcome to the real world.
Canelo will look like a p ussy when he hands over the belt without a fight. He can blame Cotto if he wants, but.

Agreed. MMA guys (and gals) are always going to lose sooner or later. You've listed several good reasons why. I'd go further and add, "Because in MMA, the best fighters actually have to fight each other." In boxing you can duck fighters easy if they don't suit your style.

Its too bad people dont realize that and are quick to label mma fighters as hype jobs. Sickening stuff.
