No, he was not. Show me one article that says or even implies that he would give up a belt to fight someone.
If you're asking me which one I (personally) would he rather fight? Lara, to shut him up finally. Do I think he's significantly better than Wade? Nope. As a matter of fact, I think there's a much higher chance of Lara getting KO'd in the first 3 rounds than Wade. He has good footwork, but Golovkin will catch him in a corner and Lara will be there for the taking.Last edited by j0zef; 03-07-2016, 04:49 PM.Comment

Fine then he could move up fight a better fighter than Wade and not lose the belt but we didnt get that either. They didnt even try.
Also he called out Ward, but backed down from that, Froch and even Floyd. All are not in his weight class.Comment

Moving up would not have saved his belt. There are 2 ways to keep your belt - fight the mandatory or unify with another champion. They tried both Canelo and BJ.
When he called them out he did not have a mandatory to take care of.
And he didn't back down from any of those 3, not sure what you're talking about.Comment

Doesnt it feel like he has nothing but mandos his whole career? Dont you want him to be more? The man is 34 and has nothing but a dream that he isnt really pursuing (step aside after step aside). If he really wanted the belts then he would have not have done that. Force the fight but nopeMoving up would not have saved his belt. I asked how did he get into position.
Lara is Champion at 154, consensus 1 there and is willing. But no take on the 5/6 ranked guy, not overall just in IBF, that GGG has never heard of.
Way to be greatComment
