Given the opponent, Khan's jump in weight>McGregor's
of course he's not the guy we as boxing fans want to see jump weight to make fights but just saying that Mcgregor had fought at 155 beforeComment

I'm just saying there is so many different ways to lose in mma that it's hard to think anyone could be 49-0 like floyd...
In boxing, all you gotta do is outbox a guy..
Mma, you got so many different elements, even if your world class in certain aspects, too many random things can happen...Comment

I respect the fighters, boxers, MMA
Boxing does condition its fans to be cynics, that is for sure
I imagine watching the UFC for some boxing fans is a relief - a chance to put down the hyper-skepticism you need to follow boxing and just watch the fights without A-side this B-side that. Nothing drives me more crazy than that A side ****Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 03-07-2016, 02:03 AM.Comment

The 4oz glove excuse is kinda weak. Floyd is an expert at boxing. He mastered that art. There are UFC fighters that have never been koed or would never be hit like that. GSP for one, he mastered his sport. Connor wasn't a master. He talked the talk and dropped the ball. Good fighter nowhere near as great as people were really beginning to believe.
Floyd is obviously a better boxer than Connor is mma'er
My point is that there is just a lot of different ways to lose in mma and they can be very random.. Boxing isn't so random, it's more measured
I just don't think you can really hold it against a guy that he lost.. GSP was great but he got submitted by Hughes and ko'd by journeymen max Serra. Anderson silva has lost on a flying leg lock.. Crazy stuff happensComment

An exciting UFC event is very rare. A good boxing fight is common. Dana White can wax lyrical about it all he wants, it will never surpass boxing in entertainment value. UFC is for simple-minded neanderthals who love junk food, nascar, listen to pop music and need an excuse to watch gay ****.Comment

You're right, there are many different aspects to look out for in MMA. But that's something he should have been prepared for because that comes with HIS sport. Isn't McGregors main fighting background in wrestling? How about the guy he lost to? Wasn't he more of a striker? Yet he allowed himself to get choked out?Comment

You're over analysing it. Connor basically went to reach for Diaz's balls at the same time Diaz was reaching for Connor's bottom. Diaz rubbed his crotch on Connor's back, jizzed himself while he choked Connor. There's no subtly or finesse in UFC. You and Joe Rogan need to admit you're gay and move on with your life.Comment

Just this past Saturday UFC's moneymaker and 145lb champ Conor Mcgregor jumped from 145lb to fight dos Anjos at 155lb, but dos Anjos was hurt, so Mcgregor had to jump to 170lb to fight a legitimate top #5 170lb and dangerous opponent in Nate Diaz to save the UFC ppv event. Even though he lost, it was two of the most exciting rounds of fighting ever!!!
In the co main event we had Holly Holms getting submitted by Miesha tate...the former champ fighting a top 2 contender in her weigh division...sigh...
Shame on you boxing...we had champ and contenders fighting tuneups after another....
for argument's sake https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...heduled_events
Thurman-Porter was supposed to be the main event for a massive fight night next weekend (with the card loaded with fights that were expected to produce fireworks), the Jack-ChavezJr fight card is starting to come together (Berto-Ortiz as the co-feature, with the undercard fights building off the likely LA home for the fight), Alvarez-Khan could be an exciting night of fights (depending on what Golden Boy adds to the show), among other fights.
Don't kid yourself into thinking that the UFC has been on some massive run of shows like UFC 196, lol.Comment
