Aye, son. I would def not mind seeing the beautiful blue eyed Philly Rican bombshell square off in a unification bout against Jessie Vargas. Bob and Al please make it happen! son.

Paying for a time buy isn't the issue; if you actually look at if, Haymon paid NBC an alleged $20m for the NBC package (show for show, it's not like the cost is so steep that no one else could do it).

The issue is having a TV network confident enough in your pitch to chose to run with your programming (and provide additional investment on their own) instead of simply plugging in two hours of Sharp Vaccuum/Ninja Bullet programming.

Outside of HBO, what TV partner has ever done business with Bob Arum? Turner Broadcasting (TV subsidiary of TimeWarner, parent of other subsidary HBO) even tried to give Arum a deal for TruTV, watched Arum feed them nothing but BS fights, and saw that deal go away. lol

The man is too smart and cunning to take risk investing millions and losing them like Haymon is now.

Exactly this, along with having enough actual content to make yourself attractive. What, or better yet who, can Top Rank offer anyone right now to warrant a long term relationship with a network? Crawford maybe, but one could argue Haymon has the equivalent of 20 Crawfords already (young talented fighters who have not yet broke through to mainstream PPV success)

Arum is struggling to find opponents for his stable now.

Will be interesting to see if the PBC lasts longer than Top Rank Boxing on ESPN did.
