Vargas has got decent skill and can fight in the pocket, Crawford can't, so Vargas would have the advantage at close range.

Great point. To this day Yuriorkis Gamboa is Crawford's best win.

Crawford, Postol, Bradley, Vargas... then there's Provodnikov and Rios for interim fights pitted against any of the top four.

Did you see Arum's big ol cheesy smile after the fight?

Close fight, I favor Crawford but Vargas could take it. Arum would love Crawford to take that one to make him fight the Pac/Bradley winner.

Expect to see Mr Arum do long periods of manination before making these high-profile fights. He'll most likely make Vargas vs Rios next.

Hmm... Or Vargas may insist on a rematch with Bradley, which he wanted desperately. But he has to take a stay busy fight because Bradley won't be ready for the rematch soon.

I'd pick Crawford as I just think he's a more skilful fighter. His resume is underwhelming but he has looked levels above anyone he's fought. Purely on the eye test you'd have to say he outshines Vargas.

Vargas has a better chin and he is bigger and equally skillful. Vargas is hitting harder these days. He almost knocked tough Bradley out. I think he can knock not so tough Crawford out. I think Crawford is overrated mainly for KOing Gamboa. Gamboa is a 126 or 130 pounder and he hurt Crawford. Crawford has not defeated anybody that good since Gamboa. Crawford is a good boxer and a hard puncher but I don't think he belongs on a top 10 pfp list and neither does Vargas. Vargas's size and toughness give him the edge over Crawford in my opinion. Postol would probably beat both of them.

                      Crawford by UD.

                      Vargas has options

                      Bradley if he wins
Marquez if he wants that 5th division title
                      Crawford when he moves up
Pacquiao if he continues to fight on
