You must have missed what he did to his ankle. I caught it, when he lost his footing when shuffling forward with too much of a leap, right before he stumbled back into the ropes (the earlier one when he wasn't hit).

Not that it's the reason he lost, but I'm sure it distracted him. It looked painful.

Ali is a solid counter puncher but his defense is much too leaky and he can't seem to read his opponents too well. A lot of times he would throw combinations in a straight line and finished his combos even if they weren't on target.
