  • If the negotiations have to do with money, then yeah, GGG should accept he is the B-side here. However, they seem to revolve around weight, and since Canelo is the Middleweight Champion, there shouldn't even be a weight discussion at all.

    • Of course gggg is the superstar, he is famous for not letting is victims hear final bell.
Nelo has fought some names but they were the stars not Nelo. What nelo is famous for I'm not sure? Ggg isalso famous for people not wanting to fight him, unless they bloat him or drain him.

When you are top 5p4p u can claim to be a superstar. Nelo not even top ten yet, he wasn't top 20 when he fought floyd.

Or the sooner Canela realizes that he's going to have to give up that strap if he keeps insisting on a 155 CW, the sooner both fighters can move on with their careers. GGG can continue pursing MW unification while Canela can continue trying to create his own weight class of 155.

        • Negotiations are complicated because Golovkin can end Alvarez.

GB is talking about taking 90% of the purse for the Golovkin fight when they quickly agreed to pay Khan $8mill. Funny, because you could hear crickets chirping when Khan fought Alexander compared to the over 20,000 paying fans for Golovkin/Lemieux over even the 12,500 paying fans for Golovkin/Monroe.

            / of thread right here!

That pretty much sums it up. GGG can seriously derail GBP's plan to taking Canelo's star status to the next level and its not worth the risk of having him flattened out on the canvas.

When you're offering a 90/10 split all you're saying is "we don't want this fight!"

            • I'll watch the video later but superstar or not, I'm sure GGG would be willing to take the smaller purse but it cant be a ridiculous offer. 60-40 at most and I'm sure GGG would come down a couple pounds on the scale too.

But canelo can't have it all his own way.

What's that strap in your avi? Wbc middleweight belt?

                  OK then.

157 is cool with me. Gennady is going to make you a fan of his in September.

                    • I don't have a problem with anything he said. This always happens with big fights. We don't know what each side is asking for so it's best to just wait and see how it unfolds.
