It's too bad for Frampton that he's tight at 122, and Rigo isn't. Otherwise, Carl could have avoided the fight by insisting that it had to be at 119lbs or no deal, and you would have been fine with that, yeah?

frampton has fought a bunch of guys who brought him less money, attention and kudos than fighting rigo would have. there's only one reason not to make the fight and that's because he and/or his team clearly have no confidence in his ability to win. he can't call himself a champion in good conscience as long as rigo remains unbeaten
Rigo brings no fans and no money. It is what it is. Rather than fighting journeyman and sitting on his arse crying that nobody will fight him, he should move up and dare to be great like others have done in the past.

Paul Williams was in the same boat as Rigo, he couldn't land the big fights so what did he do? He moved up and dared to be great. Rigo goes on like he's some warrior, but what's he doing to try and force the issue?

Fair's fair, and Rigo is Frampton's mando now.

One thing I'm sure about though - if Frampton moves up to 126 to go after a big money fight with Santa Cruz, that won't be daring to be great, that will be running away from Rigo!

What fans and money Did gonzalez bring?
What fans and money does wake bring?

But you don't condemned those fights.

              Just be consistent.

You rather frampton fight the mando nobody ever heard of instead of the mando that is perceived as the 122 boogeyman.

Now if frampton moves up and fights santa cruz next. I will give him a pass because santa cruz is a bigger fight money wise for frampton.

But if he fights any 122 pounder not named rigo, he is officially ducking

And this coming from an Irish fighter!
How could he look at another irishman in the face?
Come St Patrick's Day, I'll bet he'd be sobbing under a blanket.

My point is why is it ok for frampton to fight wake and gonzalez, two fighters who bring nothing to the table and have no fan base?

                    But no rigo?

Mate, I'd like to see Frampton-Rigo, I'm a fan of any fight that establishes an undisputed champion.

                      I'm just a realist.
