As a Cotto fan, I look at the other guys he's been linked to (Lee=too big, Provo and Chavez too small) and I'd like to see the Smith fight rather than any of them. Ideally I'd like to see him against Lara but I don't think that's likely, so after that Smith or one of the other belt holders at 154 would be the direction I'd like him to go in.

It seems likely that he's planning to go for the JMM fight after this. I guess him having a belt adds to his leverage for that as JMM can face him at 150 and get a belt in a new weight class, which seemed to be a motivation for him in challenging Bradley a couple of years ago. Personally I'm sick of all the catchweight stuff and would rather he just took a run at 154 until he lost or decided to retire. But realistically that's not going to happen.
