“The fight’s gonna get made,” Alvarez said regarding Golovkin. “Is it gonna happen this year? I don’t know. I can’t say. I don’t negotiate my fights. But if the conditions are right and the conditions are met, all the details of the fight, that’s cool. Let’s do it.”
That still doesn't make me feel any better. He didn't say it but you can tell he was alluding to something along the line of "if the conditions are right and my conditions are met, all my details of the fight, that's cool, let's do it." If he really wanted this fight, we wouldn't be hearing contradicting statements.

Genady doesn't have any momentum and is the weak side in the marketing scheme here. Give him someone that will fully introduce him to casuals and convince them to fork over PPV money.
So fighting Lara would give him more popularity? **** off man, your hate is too much, it makes you speak nonsense.

All sorts of angles, Canelo held on to the belt because its a selling point for whoever name they had picked, it makes it interesting to an extent. I think he vacates and I think loeffler needs either a vacate or a fight to justify the chase and come out smelling like roses. Badou/Degale are legit threats though.

So Canelo, because you had to deal with concessions to get big fights, you're willing to pass the buck and make Golovkin weaken himself to fight you? And you're probably naturally heavier than him? Man, what kind of Mexican fighter are you? There's something to that red hair; you're a fake ass Mexican! I won't call you Irish, because they have much more pride and heart than you. I don't know exactly what you are, but you ain't no Mexican champion.

Stop being ignorant and biased. I think it's HEALTHY for Golovkin to take on a good name, why are his fans so scared of that?!? I'm hating on him because I want him to get a name first so that he makes more money and comes out better in the Canelo fight?? FFS you guys are insecure. I think fighting Hopkins would be disgraceful but I'll admit that if I was involved in the business end of this I would have Golovkin do just that because it would benefit him tremendously, on many levels.
You guys should stop looking at this in such an infantile way. It's going to happen, and when it does I hope they pluck it when it's ripe.

Anyone that counters canelo's silence is a good fight, both Canelo and Golovkin are quiet promoters...A guy like Khan doesn't shhhh the fck up, a guy like Bradley with a chip on his shoulder won't shut up. We love the idea of a canelo/ggg fight because it doesn't need to be sold to us, we just wanna see it. Hell Pacquaio/mayweather didn't need to be sold to us but maximum dollar you need a loud mouth across from these guys.

What happens to the lineal title if Khan wins, and then decides to fight at welterweight the rest of his career?

There's nothing contradicting about that statement. Their stance has always been the same.

It is March Canelo. You have 3/4 of a year to grow some testicles.
