GGG should agree to 155 then come in at 158. Pay the penalty then beat the living shiet out of Canela for his diva ways.

They better. They're responsible for this cw bull**** to begin with. By allowing them. Idk what concession's cowardnelo is talking about. Mw is 160, he can weigh in less than 160. But ggg won't.

I'm giving up hope for this fight to happen this year. They want to draw it out and make money, go figure.

I hope it happens in 2017. I don't think Canelo will still have his MW titles in 2017 though, those (I assume/hope) will just have to be forfeited if they continue to fight welterweights at 155.

Genady doesn't have any momentum and is the weak side in the marketing scheme here. Give him someone that will fully introduce him to casuals and convince them to fork over PPV money.
The fight will be big anyway. Its the matchup that sells most of the time. Canelo will be expected to be knocked out, and that challenge alone will sell.

In Golovkin's case, 150k PPV buys against an unknown and limited Lemieux really isn't that bad. Its an ok start. He needs a name, like you say, but theres really no reason why Canelo can't be that name

The diva may not fight then. Wouldn't surprise me. Ggg can agree to 155 but weigh in is on fight day. Or insist on rehydrate clause. No more than 10 lbs allowed.

I don't hold it against Canelo, but I just wish they would be honest about it. There are better money fights for him and they are going to pursue them...why lost his momentum in getting sparked out? The odds of him getting wrecked are extremely high, rebuilding that would take a ton of work. Getting a Cotto ppv was good payday and the wbc belt was just extra icing..doubt he actually cares about the belt itself. I actually respect boxers who say "listen it's about the dollars" or "I got a family to feed", stop beating around the bush and lying. If fighting Amir doesn't flop this fight will never happen, plain and simple. Gang of dudes from 147 to 160 who would move up or down for that kind of pay to face him.
