Your earlier point about Mayweather/Froch, was all talk.

Golovkin may have fought those guys, who knows ?

He promised a lot of things.
But here is the thing, Talk is talk but it wasn't because of him that those fights didn't happen. The Floyd fight was a long shot and might have not happened, but the Froch fight was definitely Froch's fault. Had he talked and backed out after Froch of Floyd said "lets do it" he would lose my respect, so far every fight he negotiated and tried to make it wasn't his own doing that the fight fell through.

You are welcome to debate me regarding all of the promises that Team Golovkin have made.

      It shouldn't take too long.

Right now, I see a big sack labeled "hollow promises", which happens to be full..... and I see a big sack labeled "achievements", which happens to be empty.

This thread has a very similar feel to the other current one...... where Raonic is attempting to bash Mayweather's resume, whilst praising Golovkin's.

And in this thread Golovkin is somehow being compared to Hopkin's.

I will say it again..... lil'G fans, are bashing Mayweather and Hopkin's

You're right, so why not remove Mayweather's name from the discussion?

        Especially considering the fact that.....

        * that potential match-up is such a massive long-shot
        * it is absurd, considering those guys are 2 weight classes apart
        * GGG is relatively unknown, so not even a realistic option for Mayweather

Everyone " called out " Floyd man..... everyone !!

Regardless, Froch does not appear as a W on Golovkin's resume.

Golovkin said anyone from 154-168, and we all know that he avoided Ward, so who knows if he would have followed through with Froch if push-came-to-shove.

Maybe, but let's not give him a win for that just yet.

That talk was just promises, promises that have already been broken.

          Blah blah blah.

          • It won't get made this year because Canelo's hiding in his own made up weight division. Maybe in a few years, when Golovkin's about 37/38, Canelo might suddenly be up for it.

So, in your opinion, Golovkin would DEFINITELY have taken that fight if Froch decided to un-retire?

You COULD be right, but you CANNOT give Golovkin credit for that win.

And if he definitely WOULD have fought Froch, why not Ward ?

And thats up with that fkn 164lb catchweight shht ?

Not convinced at all that Golovkin would have fought Froch, maybe.

And giving Golovkin credit for being willing to fight Froch is weak..... especially considering the fact that you Golovkin fans did not exactly shower Ward with praise for being more then willing to fight lil'G.

Golovkin SAID that he would fight Froch, but the fight never happened, for WHATEVER reason, so it is a moot point..... it was ONLY talk, because it never happened.

NEW YORK If you're holding out hope Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will fight later this year, you're not going to be encouraged by what Alvarez said Tuesday after a press conference to promote his May 7 pay-per-view fight against Amir Khan.

... I don't care -- he vacates and call GGG out whenever he's ready, if ever...

When Canelo decides to move to 160, and he becomes a real middleweight, we will see if Golovkin is just as willing to fight him then.

He talks a good game Golovkin.

He'll only come out of hiding from his made up weight class when Golovkin is no longer such a danger. Golovkin doesn't really talk a good game (apart from some crap him or his promoter said years ago which some people seem to be holding him to regardless of circumstance), he just tries to fight the guys in his division and they clearly don't want to fight him. It's hard to take people who think Golovkin would be scared to fight Canelo seriously, even though you're the first I've heard insinuate this. It's just laughable. tbh, reading back on your posts, I suspect you're a troll playing mental gymnastics. Anyone with a brain can see these guys ducking Golovkin left and right, including Canelo.
