He's not concerned when Haymon overpays his fighters for fighting cab drivers. Three bums in a row now for Lara since the Canelo fight. The last two fights earned him $2 million. Just imagine if he's asked to fight Golovkin. He would demand $10 million.

Same thing with the other Haymon fighters. Santa Cruz got $750K for fighting a sparring partner, Garcia got $700K for fighting Salsa. And he wants the Khan rematch on PPV.

I can't wait for Mayweather come back and fight for $500k on PBC!

I mean what gives?
And they're the main barrier preventing Stevenson/Kovalev, Crawford/Garcia, GGG/Jacobs, etc.

Exclusive network deals kill fights. It's time for them to go. They are preventing the sport from evolving.

Exactly. US boxing would be MUCH better if HBO sports got out of boxing and everyone was under PBC. No barriers to making fights.

But if HBO goes under, don't you think Top Rank/Golden Boy etc would just find someone else to air fights? It's not unreasonable someone wouldn't want to get involved being that they both still have some pretty big draws.

I really doubt if HBO gets out Oscar and Bob are just going to go "please Al, take whoever you want".

Where are they going to go? Al has NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, ESPN, Spike, NBC Sports, Showtime, etc all locked up . . .

Perhaps one or more of the current PBC networks...unless the PBC can actually get network deals done with every network they're currently doing a "time buy" with.

Whatever Network doesn't wind up with the PBC. If PBC is successful and all these channels are bidding for it, don't you think someone else would be interested in the Golden Boy/Top Rank/K2/Roc Nation etc universe? There are a bunch of non-ESPN cable sports channels (CBSSN, NBCSN, Fox Sports 1) that need programming.

I don't know enough to know what other premium channels are owned by Time Warner, but EPIX wanted to get involved with boxing in the past, Starz is there. It's also fair to point out if the PBC is successful Showtime will probably need fights too. I'd bet someone would want to get involved.
