Of course it's relevant. GGG hasn't moved up one division. Next.

You mean Marquez conceded all? I agree.

Hopkins had to sign his career away to Don King to get the MW tourney. The Hopkins who blasted promoters, testified against them and hated King. I doubt GGG would ever make that kind of sacrifice.

Didn't hagler make a sacrifice when he fought leonard?

Funny that it's only the Floydboys that think Golovkin should go down to 155. Even with Floyd retired they got their Floyd agenda running. What disgraces to the sport.

Well he definitely gave up everything at the negotiating table. But I think what really hurt him was that he was...I don't wanna say washed up but...he wasn't the same Hagler that night.

HBO is going to take the budget down and give us what they want to give us and what they can afford and the Gullible Casuals will gladly accept it and defend in while in the same breath bash PBC every chance they get when in actuality the "HBO vs PBC" stuff is absolutely KILLING the sport of boxing right now
Correct, boxing in general is not doing well.

It is the mismatches; preservation of "0"; fighters ducking each other; and promoters refusing to do business with each other that is killing it. What's new?!

Was Bernard Hopkins avoiding a Roy Jones Jr. rematch in 2002?

Sorry, doesn't compute. When Hopkins and Jones were negotiating a rematch they had elite scalps on their resume. And both had to make sacrifices in order to make those big fights. Call me when GGG does the same and then you can start making those comparisons.

Name the elite scalps on Hopkins' resume at that time.

Felix Trinidad, the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world, and a 3-1 favorite over Hopkins.
