Granted, it is lame that he says that **** about Margarito (because who cares who he's fought? he earned the shot to be the man at 147. Christ, he has a belt.), but he does always say that if thats what the public wants he'd do it. If he doesn't fight Margarito next it will be really hard to defend him.
Just right now espn said that Margarito accepted 1.5 million to fight Mayweather. Mayweather, as word is going around will make 8 million

Now if that ain't a huge difference of money then I don't know what is. But this tells us three things. 1. Floyd would be getting paid a LOT of money to fight Margarito 2. Mayweather is a ***** for not fighting Margarito and 3. Margarito under priced himself especially since Margarito is very deserving of a title shot.

This is coming from one of the biggest Floyd fans on the site.

What I find pathetic is that nobody can think like this....because they really don't understand how boxing works. People deserve fights.

Oscar Delahoya is fighting next saturday
Oscar Delahoya has stated that he wants to fight Mayweather and intends to fight only once more before retiring.
If Oscar wants to fight Floyd that is going to happen. Margarito has not done NEARLY enough to justify turning that down.

Surely the best fighter since Muhammad Ali wouldn't avoid an $8 million-plus payday against a slow, ponderous, unskilled guy like Antonio Margarito, right?

            Say it ain't so, Floyd!!!

"He passed on Margarito for now, whatever the reason," confirmed Bob Arum - who had reserved August 12th for that bout - to Maxboxing. "So I'm doing Rahman-Maskaev in its place and we'll revisit it later in the fall."

The reason given, according to Arum, is, "He says his hand is bad; maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I mean it was a way to get three fights in this year. Maybe the hand is bad."

            Mayweather’s reluctance doesn't surprise Arum.

"No, not really. There was always in my mind that he had a great reluctance to fight Margarito," he admitted. "One thing about Floyd, he knows more about boxing than anybody and Margarito is the riskiest fight for him."

As for Margarito, Arum says as of now he plans to put him underneath Rahman-Maskaev in Las Vegas. But there could be other options for the rugged Mexican, who holds the WBO welterweight belt.

"Right now, Ricky Hatton is interested in fighting him but that can't be until the fall." Hatton makes his HBO debut on May 13th against WBA welterweight titlist Luis Collazo. Arum also mentioned Miguel Cotto as a possibility. "There are a lot of guys that would fight him, but I'm still confident that I'll be able to make a Margarito fight," he says. But perhaps that’s wishful thinking.

Maybe he should think about guys who are actually willing to get in the ring with Margarito. It seems Mayweather has his eyes on a date against Oscar De La Hoya, who makes his return on May 6th versus Ricardo Mayorga.

But Arum says that he's still promoting the ‘Pretty Boy'.

"Absolutely. Floyd's done the honorable thing and I have no problems with Floyd or anybody with him, none whatsoever."

But you get the sense that Floyd and his advisor Al Haymon just might make a deal without Arum if it meant making the fight with 'The Golden Boy'.

Floyd should fight Margarito at noon and Oscar DLH at 8:00pm on the same day.

              Why?

Margarito wont touch him, and will be destroyed by round four. It will be a good warmup for DLH. DLH will be like. "Oh ****."

How much would he bank on that? Wow wow wee waa!

the main argument isnt that Mayweather can win or not.its that Mayweather is a chicken **** saying this and that. Here is proof of how much of a ****ing mouth he is.

                Mayweather’s reluctance doesn't surprise Arum.

Meaning he is scared and he does not fight for all the reasons he has stated in the past. What a ***** is all I got to say.Surely you cant respect a scary ass.
