gamboa is more talented than crawford, he only lost because it was a canelo-khan tier size mismatch
yea he doesn't clinch as much. he needs to learn how to box

That's not the only reason. If you listened to Roy Jones commentary during the bout you'd have heard him say that he always expects Cuban and Eastern European fighters to dominate the first four rounds because of their rich and extensive amateur background, and the fight to become more of balanced if the opponent can survive those rounds.

Guess what, that is EXACTLY what happened two rounds later, Crawford started taking over the bout and Gamboa's amateur pedigree fell to the wayside.

Crawford's star is on the rise but Andre Ward is the most talented in America.

Ward will also have the biggest opportunity to prove his skill/talent level. Does Crawford have anyone on the radar that presents a threat quite like Kovalev? TBH, I like watching Crawford more than Ward, but TC's resume has ways to go.

If Pacquiao sticks around that would be a monster opponent for Crawford.

But there's also Postol. And Thurman/Brook/Garcia/Porter/Khan/Spence are at 147 if TC moves up. Those would all help give him a great resume if he can fight them.
