This Bud's for me: Crawford ready for the Mayweather mantle

There's still a certain magic about Madison Square Garden which not even the MGM Grand in Las Vegas can match. So it will be the perfect stage for Terence Bud' Crawford to strut his stuff, displaying skills that I believe make him the most talented of American boxers now that Floyd Mayweather jnr insists he has hung up his boxing boots for good.

He's good and only getting better. But he's no Mayweather protege.

It's easy to look like the most talented when you haven't fought anyone... he beat a glass-chinned blown Welterweight..

Crawford hasn't fought any real challenge yet, and he's fighting another bum today.

People really don't care about level of competition, they are just prisoners of the moment..

let's reserve judgments untill he actually fights a decent boxer, and not beating up on midgets and journeymen.

Crawford is well on his way to stardom. Hopefully he fights Postol or some other top fighter next, because he has started to kill his momentum with his recent opposition.

Postol would be his FIRST REAL challenge.

i'm not buying it. he doesn't look remotely as formidable as ward to me. in terms of raw talent i'm pretty high on andrade as well - i think he would beat the charlo twins and williams if we can get those fights made

gamboa is more talented than crawford, he only lost because it was a canelo-khan tier size mismatch

He is talented but he hasn't really fought any real competition that might test him.

Also, i can't see him being a star. He's hardly Mr. Charisma is he?

                  1. Andre Ward
                  2. Timothy Bradley Jr.
                  3. Terence Crawford

There's a lot of guys that still need to prove it; Demetrius Andrade, Gary Russell Jr, Errol Spence Jr, Marcus Browne.

I look forward to Crawford moving up to 147, some big fights down the road with Spence & Ali.
