  • Comments Thread For: Weights From Manchester: Frampton 121.7, Quigg 121.6

Carl Frampton (21-0, 14 early) and Scott Quigg (31-0-1, 23 KOs) both came in within the Super bantamweight limit for their IBF and WBA Super World title showdown in Manchester tomorrow night. The weigh-in took place at the Manchester Arena in front of two sets of baying fans as well as a pro-Quigg brass band.

Bury's Quigg was first on the scales, he hit 8st 9lb 6oz before turning to salute his fans. Belfast-based Frampton's travelling support made themselves known, too, and cheered him on when he scaled 8st 9lb 7oz.

Went to the weigh-in. Massive Irish turn out for this one, easily drowning out the locals. Tomorrow night is going to be crazy - atmosphere wise. Gutted I missed out on tickets!

Also - Quigg looked very gaunt at the weigh in...

I like Frampton but a fighter shouldn't try and dictate who commentates on his fight (if the rumour is true).

What's the rumor? Who doesn't he want commentating?

My guess would be Nick Halling as Frampton's publicly criticised him a couple of times before, but I don't know for sure who it is.

He's quite dire though isn't he to be fair, Nick Halling.

We can all pray to God Johnny Nelson doesn't decide to take up commentating.

                    Extremely gaunt.

All this talk about Frampton struggling with the weight but Frampton looked fantastic compared to Quigg.
