Just from observation, I think you're going to start seeing lower purses. HBO is already cutting their budget and only paying top dollar for what they deem to be worthwhile fights. Showtime is putting on great fights and paying top dollar for them, while getting really crappy ratings. I can't see them forking out big bucks much longer for something that isn't benefiting them. Once they start bottling it up, the industry will follow and I think you'll see that in a fight like this. It doesn't make sense to keep overpaying for fights. I love this fight but these guys aren't big names especially povetkin.

Yeah, the purses might be less than some think. Just because Ryabinski's backers have tons of money that doesn't mean they are just going to spend a ton on anything. All businessmen look for profit, even rich ones.

This is a pretty big fight for the hardcore boxing fan but not yet that big to the general public.
