Yes i know. That happened with the Fury-Wlad fight. They reached a last minute deal when every promoter in the world flew to the purse bid to submit a bid

Just from observation, I think you're going to start seeing lower purses. HBO is already cutting their budget and only paying top dollar for what they deem to be worthwhile fights. Showtime is putting on great fights and paying top dollar for them, while getting really crappy ratings. I can't see them forking out big bucks much longer for something that isn't benefiting them. Once they start bottling it up, the industry will follow and I think you'll see that in a fight like this. It doesn't make sense to keep overpaying for fights. I love this fight but these guys aren't big names especially povetkin.
