It may not be May v Pac but it was still an anticipated, interesting match-up to the non-jaded boxing fan.
It definitely wasn't cancelled because of lack of interest. I don't know what hole you're pulling that one out of. It was as close to a 50/50 fight as you get with two Haymon fighters.
Some people will complain about anything. If you don't like the fight simply because it involves two welterweights you are no more than a casual boxing fan. I guess Leonard v Duran was a pointless fight too huh? How about Ross v Armstrong? Chavez v Whitaker? De La Hoya v Trinidad? Pac v Cotto? Pac v Marquez? Gatti v Ward? etc etc etc
Munchkin fighting between midgets isn't fun. Watching two shrimps slapping away means little to the true boxing fans. Heavyweights are the best to watch and boxing under 154lbs is like child fighting. Little tiny dwarfs like Thurman or Port walk into any mans bar in America they get wedgied and have cigarettes put out in their Afros.

Comparing Porters loss to Brook to his fight with Thurman is foolish. Two totally different styles and levels of discipline. I'm taking Porter over Thurman and I'm big on Thurman. Just a wrong style match-up.

I can't say I'm suprised. It was only a matter of time before Thurman could no longer hide his cowardice

Lol. Full on stalker material. Hey he's a celebrity athlete. Comes with the territory. I hope he's reading this right now.
