Comments Thread For: Farhood: If Khan is KO'd By Canelo, He's Not A-Side With Brook

It was demonstrated several times that he distorted reality and made up a bunch of lies. He had no choice but to admit it in a later post when I corrected him with facts. So my point about you guys skewing and distorting reality was in fact already proven on this very thread..
Reading comprehension not your strong area I take it? lolComment

Yes, in the aftermath of Kan being KO'd by Canelo, Brook-Khan can still happen but it won't be a stadium fight anymore. If khan gets KO'd, the fight isnt a Wembley Stadium type fight anymore. Itd just be a domestic dust up with a title, not the British super-fight it could be right now
I'm sure Khan's management know this, which makes it all so bizarre. Anyone who thinks Khan/Brook is gonna be a PPV sellout after a Khan knockout really is mistaken. I really doubt Khan could recover from a 3rd knockout
Khan will still be the A-side as, despite having title, Brook is still relatively unknown and Hearns has not advanced his profile by any appreciable degree, so both guys going to make less money!Comment

A sides are determined by who is the bigger name and pay per view numbers
Khan will always be the A side against Brook because Brook hasnt fought a big name..whereas Khan has fought multiple big namesComment

See...This entire post is one giant excuse because you can't accept that Garcia is the better fighterFrampton got knocked down what 2 times in his last fight alone and knocked out in sparring while wearing headgear.. Who knows how many more times behind the scenes? lol..
Anyway, to your point about the Garcia fight. I agree as I've said several times before, Khan's performance in that fight was terrible. He was beating Garcia in the first few rounds, but even those rounds were terrible in my opinion like I've said all along.
Even though he won the first few rounds easy, he was throwing the same jab/uppercut combo from round one and became entirely predictable very early on. Same combo that Garcia timed him with the first knock down - the jab and the uppercut. He threw that combo repeatedly in sparring against a Russian middleweight before the Garcia fight, and he was getting tagged continuously because it was so predictable. When I saw that sparring footage before the fight, I knew something was up... So now why did he keep throwing the same damn combo?
Did you know that Khan trained himself for about 65% of the Garcia camp because Roach was in the Philippines training Pacquiao for the Bradley fight? Khan's trainer wasn't even in the same country as him! The only person who was with Khan for a lot of the camp was his strength coach at the time, Ruben, who knows nothing about boxing. Khan trained himself, and his trainer wasn't there to spot and correct his mistakes. He fell in love with that ridiculous combo in sparring, used it repeatedly in the fight and became extremely predictable. If you notice since then, he hardly ever throws that combo now, I've only seen him do it once.
That's why he left Roach after that fight because Roach didn't fulfil his trainer's contract which specifically stated that training should take place in Wildcard Gym for any Khan bout. Instead he flew off to the Philippines to train Pacquiao for the first Bradley fight. That's the reality of what happened. Khan trained himself for most of the Garcia camp and that will almost always backfire on any boxer because you need a trainer to correct mistakes in camp.Comment

The truth is you would have to bet on Porter to beat ALL the guys that Khan has faced at welterweight and the best one Porter already did !Comment

Sorry to break it to you Porter is a nobody
Numbers and overall resume, regardless of weight dictate who is the A Side
Khan is fighting on a PPV against Canelo
While Brook is fighting a cab river in a bingo hall
Khan is the A Side win or lose..
Brook has wasted 12 years of his life fighting bumsLast edited by FrankieBruno; 02-24-2016, 03:24 PM.Comment
