they're not the same, but they're very similar. a fight is a fight. the psychology is the same.

mauro's done a great job of juggling wrestling & boxing and i expect JR to do the same.

i've done wrestling commentary & boxing commentary as well and didn't find the transition to be too difficult.

Have spent some time with JR behind the scenes over the years and he's one of the funniest mother****ers I've ever met.
              You met him?

I don't know how much knowledge Ross has, but he can't be any worse than Gus Johnson or Jim Lampley. And he isn't a biased douche or a racist like Lampley either.

Jim Ross, Larry Merchant, and Roy Jones would be my commentary dream team.
Lol true. Plus he said it, he's just going to call the action and get to know the fighters. 99% of these posters talking crap would sound like **** on the mic, trying to convey to the audience what is going on. You can know the sport 100%, but calling it is a whole different thing.

This was in 2014, if he's been brushing up on the sport since then maybe he'll do OK.
I had no idea Canelo Alvarez and Tim Bradley fought eachother.

He's actually pretty good, brings something new to the sport.

He's not very knowledgable but he has one liners for days. And tbh, besides Atlas who really gives any boxing knowledge to fans?

I think you guys will like him tbh.
                    I can't wait!!!
