The reason why a fighter should shave his armpits is simple:
So the hair would not get ripped out and cause extra pain(a lot of pain)U see, when u compete(especially in pros, because u are obviously without a shirt)a lot of sweat gathers up on gloves and when they get sticked to the hair on your armpits, it gets ripped out. Simple as that.

I don't get what your saying. I competed in junior B/A hockey for 14 years and I sweated a ton, and I didn't wear a shirt underneath my gear and I never had problems with pulling my armpit hair out. I also box as an amatuer.

I'm not saying its not possible but I don't understand it.

I am not saying it always happens but it does happen and sometimes used by fighters intentionally. Hurts like a ***** and bleeds too.

IVE SHAVED MY PITS BEFORE A FEW TIMES ACTUALLY I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, LESS SMELL WHEN SWEATING, LESS CHANCE OF IT GETTING RIPPED OUT AND TANGLED AND SO ON. IT'S THE SAME THING AS SHAVING OR WAXING YOUR CHEST IT'S JUST UNDER YOUR ARMS THERES NO DIFFERENCE.
