pretty impressive considering ggg is facing a complete unknown.its crazy he's only been fighting in the united states for 3 years and he's selling out arenas from the east coast to the west coast its only a matter of time before he becomes a big ppv draw whether haters like or it no.

BS!!! Only casual fans don't know who he is. He's Cuban but with power. EVERYONE knows Cuban's take boxing very SERIOUS! Wade almost lost to a 42 year old man.

Barrera actually has a chance of winning unlike Wade! And how much you want to bet Ward isn't gonna be a double digit favorite like GGG is????

Ask Team GGG about Barrera casual fan! They'll be glad to tell you ALL about him. Guess which one is wearing the rib protector when him and GGG spar??? Hint it's not the one who 90% of the time usually wears it....

I think it's obvious that if Canelo ducks out later in the year then they move on, but until then they have to see it through. It would be foolish to walk away now from a potential Canelo fight, which not only is for the WBC/lineal belts it is literally the biggest and most financial rewarding fight Golovkin could possibly get (besides Mayweather coming out of retirement obviously). Some people on NSB don't think logical at all.
I expect GGG and Canelo to fight in Sept. I don't want to see no BS 155. But if Canelo is willing to go up 157 I think that's fair. Since GGG comes in at 159 anyways. I would prefer it to be 160 also. But Oscar is the one who is going to probably want either the weight or the $$$$. GGG ain't getting both! 65/35 seems fair. Fk aint like GGG gonna see even 90% of what he's gonna make his CHEAP @ss promoters. Their just going to pocket the money anyways. I actually feel bad for GGG on how bad he gets ****d by his promoters. 6 fights before the main event, PBC fighters make at least what they pay GGG. GGG sells out fights, has a million viewers and now BARELY makes $1 million??? Where does all that money ??? I hope his promoters are doing a TON of COKE and shutting down STRIP CLUBS nightly!!! At least.

I agree. Barrera has a higher difficulty composite than Wade. I'm talking the 4 main councils and rankings. Barrera is technically more dangerous than Wade, however, that was not GGG's fault since it was initially to be Johnson.

Don't worry about Golovkins financial situation compared to PBC fighters ok? He's not complaining so need for us to complain. Plus he always gets international venue on top of the American revenue; he's fine.

Anyways, if you think for a second Golovkin would refuse a 159 pound catchweight with Canelo you're crazy. Of course he would, he's not ******. His whole deal has been trying to say fighting at 155 for the middleweight WBC belt that he's mandatory to is wrong, which it is. With the media, Abel Sanchez and his team say they wont' do 155 and will do 160, again this is media talk, the same as all promoters & camps do all the time. It's pre-negotiating tactics that has been going on for a hundred years. It's nothing new. At the end of the day (or I should say end of the year), when the two sides are negotiating, there is no way in hell Golovkin would not accept a 159 or even 158 pound catchweight. That isn't a problem here. Nor is money (K2/GGG have no problem with Canelo taking the lionshare of the pot, that's never been an issue either). The problem is if Canelo/Golden Boy actually intend on fighting Golovkin next. That's the issue.

and more importantly, the LHW division is shark waters compared to the current Middleweight division.

You dudes are funny....the only way to compare Lil G and SOG is with 36 minutes of combat....as we all know Lil G and his investors wanted NOTHING to do with the King

And this is FEBRUARY! Me and you both get it. I have NO DOUBT they will fight in Sept. unless one gets hurt or loses (Not happening). Canelo is too proud to walk and GGG I think would compromise (With Oscar) at 157 or > in weight. He's too CHEAP to take 160 without more $$$ (Hope GGG team accepts if fair)

What did Canelo HATERS say before he fought Lara when all his team said no. He fought the #2 SWW in Trout. MAN he was PISSED when Cotto got stomped! He was wearing a I LOVE Cotto t-shirt, sitting in the front ROW of that fight... He was wanting Cotto much, much longer than GGG.

Canelo doesn't care about losing. No MEXICAN retires undefeated. As a betting man I hope GGG comes in thinking Canelo is going to fall over from fear in the 1st round against GGG though. Like 99% of his fans! Heck half think he'll stay in the DRESSING room and never come out. I'm gonna make a TON of $$$$$$$ on that fight! Too many GTards not to make some serious cash from. I know it's going to be a dog fight and will go at least 8 rounds. I've seen some of their old sparring videos and Canelo held his own for being almost a kid....

I would bet the farm on Ward if they would of fought. GGG too green for that type of fighter. Fk Andre Dirrell gave GGG FITS and BEAT him once. Dirrell is not even HALF as slick as Ward is.

GGG has skillz but it would of been an easy UD.

Dirrell was arguably "slicker" than Ward in the amateur days because he was the faster of the two and more elusive. I always thought the one guy at 168 that would give Ward the most problems and potentially beat him was Dirrell. But then of course his career went down the crapper ever since the Abraham win and pulling out of the Ward fight. Boxing is about styles and Dirrell would be a very interesting match against Ward, back then at least. We really haven't seen Ward fight anyone like Dirrell before.
