This fight reminds me a bit of when Donaire fought Narvaez. They brought in this south American with no intention to fight back or win the fight. Just there for the trip and the pay check.

Silva is rolling the right hand nicely though, he did it all night. Only reason why he did not win is because instead of countering it he backed away.

Verdejo won but of course he does have some work to do. Need to learn how to setup that right hook. No jab and no body work. Still love his potential but need to add some things to his game.

It's like if he can't demolish the opponent, he is content to "coast" to an easy decision. He certainly doesn't give me the impression that he has that extra gear needed to shut guys down like Crawford does for instance.

ya that's a good comparison. Bud would have buried this opponent tonight. I find a lot of guys are content just coasting nowadays because fans will say Verdejo put on a clinic lol. That's what I love about bud. When the chance arises he kills em.

Silva is TRASH lol, and Verdejo sucks for real. Any C fighter who can throw with power turns Verdejo into a shell and stops him. So many opportunities to counter Verdejos wide shots and take advantage of his slow/boring activity pace.

Dont want to see Verdejo again, should have watched the SHO card first and then switched back for Lundy.

I think this was one of the few fights that almost everyone across the board had the same scores, lol................with the exception of Silva's corner. Even Silva knew the deal....terrible.

Terrible robbery. Silva won 8-2 easy. See how he was smiling in the end? In Brazil it means they were just robbed.
