It illustrates why UFC is lapping boxing as the better product. Dos Anjos has backed put of the fight due to injury and they are already lining up great replacements in less than 2 weeks notice.

Thurman gets in a car crash and Porter won't fight until late this year. Boxing is a mess right now.

UFC fights on TV also have had one of the combatants get injured. The difference is on UFC they get a fighter to fill in easy because the televised UFC fights are not usually big events like a Porter v Thurman card.

Your point is not totally wrong. money from advertisers is collected before the event takes place. Now I agree several sponsors may look at it and use your reasoning to not purchase advertising spots. That doesn't mean all of them will.

I don't know that Porter fighting had to be cancelled. There should be an available quality opponent such that Porter v ---------- can headline the SHowtime card.

You make a good point but you are acting as if this is the norm. It isn't.

Didn't Chad Mendes fill in for Aldo vs Mcgregor 2 weeks from the fight?

Yes I believe so. You would think Al would take notes from UFC since he has so many fighters and have one ready just in case.
