This fight makes no sense to me if I'm Chavez. He could make a lot more money fighting the smaller Golovkin than Jack.

Chavez wasn't being asked to make 160 the first time Golovkin signed to fight him. Chavez knows he's not winning either of those fights, so he might as well make the most money.

I like the fight. Jack has earned this fight ($) but thats if Chavez still has tread on his name. Might have a little. A chance to rebuild for Chavez against my personal FOTY for 2015. And for Jack and chance to continue climbing that ladder.

The original contract to fight GGG which he turned down was at 168 not 160. He was offered way more money for that fight then all the money he made last year and he STILL got KO'd. Could of just fought GGG and lost but made more money in the process. I don't see Chavez making weight or beating Jack regardless of the weight it's a bad matchup and a risky fight. Could fight multiple guys with bigger names and make more money for the same risk.
