The right fighter won in all of those fights. Matter fact only one of those fights was even close and that was the Lara fight where the majority of outside media and fans had Canelo winning the fight. Some had it a draw and even fewer in the minority had Lara winning. So I don't see what the beef is the guy who won is the the guy who the majority of fans and media all thought won. Lara flat out ran and disgraced himself. Trout got dropped and admitted he deserved to lose the fight in his post fight interview. He was down early in the fight and because it was open scoring Caenlo took his foot off the gas, if not for that I believe Canelo presses and likely knocks him out. He was in total control all night long. Judges wasn't the problem in that fight open scoring which is TERRIBLE and robs fights of any drama turned the scoring in the final 1/3 of that fight irrelevant because Canelo knew he couldn't lose unless he was KO'd turning the fight into NFL's version of a team playing the clock in the 4th quarter because they are up big on the scoreboard. Cotto missed 500 punches no lie go look at the compubox stats, Canelo landed more and did more damage while Cotto was on his bike throwing punches that Canelo slipped and countered all night long.

The only scorecard I have a problem with is CJ Ross in the mayweather fight but that goes back to her scorecard in Manny vs Bradley. Clearly she knows nothing about boxing and it's why she is no longer allowed to judge fights.

Corruption. Besides the judging mentioned here you could also throw in the very sketchy fast stoppage of his fight where he was looking bad against Alfonso Gomez(which also had crazy scorecards at the time of the stoppage to boot). And of course, there's the careful matchmaking to get him set up with a paper belt originally culminating in him beating the great Matthew Hatton for a 154 lb strap.

To be fair to Canelo, the corruption itself for a house fighter isn't anything new and at least he's seemingly turned the corner to taking on a reasonable challenge every few fights. The run of Trout, Floyd, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, and Cotto is a solid mix of challenge and stay-busy types. The Khan fight is a joke but at least there's some cause for optimism that after that he takes on someone legit next(probably at a catchweight).

You think that's corruption? wait till Canelo gets KOed in 5 rounds against golovkin and still wins the fight 117-111 on the scorecards...

better yet wait till WBC strips GGG of his mandatory position for not agreeing to fight at 155, or elevate canelo to a gold titanium dimond champion and make GGG the regular champion.

The open scoring during the Austin Trout fight was the probably one of the most disgusting things i've seen on tv.

they only announce the scores every 4 rounds that gives them some wiggle round to hide their corruption. if they announced their scores every round which they could easily do but they simply do not want to then we would have a clear view of their corruption/incompetence.

The Floyd fight drew su****ion. The cotto fight proved it.

Do we know if Dave Moretti has scored any other major Goldenboy fights recently?

I dunno about Moretti to be honest... he judges so many big event fights in Vegas. I wouldn't be surprised..

He must be making a lot of money there, jeez. He judged 9 out of 11 of Floyd's last fights
