Outlandish Judging In Saul Canelo Alvarez Fights: Corruption Or Coincidence?

Let's briefly look at Canelo's last 4 fights which went the distance. The decisions of these fights were all hotly disputed, some more than others, with the exception perhaps being the Mayweather fight where the vast majority thought Canelo clearly lost (albeit while being weight-drained and green at the time).

You can see in each of these fights there is at least one outlandish scorecard that is very far removed from what really happened in the fight. Is this indicative of corrupt, bought judges being utilized in Canelo fights to ensure he wins, or just coincidence?

Also worth nothing is that judge Dave Moretti actually judged 4 of Canelo's last 5 fights! He judged fairly in the Mayweather fight back in 2013, giving Floyd the decision, but he was the most inaccurate judge in the Cotto fight in 2015, giving Cotto only 1 round! Maybe Moretti was clean at one point, but got bought, bribed and turned corrupt sometime since that Floyd fight. Speculation, but certainly plausible given Moretti's inexplicable score in the Cotto fight and the fact he's selected so regularly now to judge Canelo fights. Signs of a bought judge perhaps?

I think it's corruption. It's also part of the reason I think Canelo may be capable of beating GGG if it goes the distance and he puts up a decent performance.

I don't see why you let Moretti off the hook in the Mayweather fight...he gave Canelo 4 rounds.......most people outside of the US and the awful showtime commentary gave him 1 round at best.

The only issue I have is the one judge scoring a draw with Mayweather and the one who had the Trout fight 9 rounds to 3 or whatever it was.

Otherwise, the right man won the fights so it's not a problem.
