      But Maidana seems done.
It would have ended in a KO for sure.

Same here. I think Thurman won't be able to evade Maidana's strong offense.

Maybe if he caught him early otherwise I see it as a win for Maidana. Thurman doesn't have the experience or skills to beat a motivated, in-shape Maidana. He does, however, have the power to land a fight-ending punch.

Maidana would outbox him. Although I can see Thurman's foot movement giving Chino problems. But once Maidana gets close to Thurman he would f*** him up badly.

Maidana's boxing style requires a lot of motivation. Mike Tyson said this, too.

It wasn't Maidana himself.
Wow, great informative post! I would give you green k but I have to spread some around first.

The only thing that Thurman has is power... everything else is overrated.

They were scheduled to fight each other in Thurman's HBO debut. Maidana pulled out and said he was being set up to take a loss.

Thurman cant hang with Maidana. Dude runs from c level punchers and gets hurt by d level fighters.

2015: Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana Open To Face Khan, Not Thurman

Former two division champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) says he is likely to return to action in the "middle of 2015." The boxer, 31-years-old, had a huge year in 2014 with two Showtime Pay-Per-View fights with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs). Although he lost, Maidana was competitive in both contests. In terms of the options, there is very little interest in facing Keith Thurman after the boxer had a very lackluster performance last Saturday night with 40-year-old Leonard Bundu.

2012: Comments Thread For: Team Maidana Reject Thurman Fight: Explain The Issue

To me particularly, and not just me, nobody liked the idea because the truth is Thurman is a guy who’s really a super welterweight.
We told Golden Boy that we didn’t want the fight. We want a tuneup. Is that a tuneup? All big name fighters take tune ups. And when they do tuneups, do they do them against a 17-0 opponent with 16 knockouts and a super welterweight?” asked Contursi as he referred to the 5’11 Thurman.

BoxingScene.com ran a story on Saturday where hard hitting Marcos Maidana’s fight with Keith Thurman, which was rumored to have fallen apart, was still being negotiated between Golden Boy Promotions and Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi. While Contursi and Golden Boy are indeed still in negotiations, it’s not for a possible Thurman fight for Maidana. Rather they are negotiating to find a replacement opponent for the Argentina native.

                Team Maidana:

                He 154 doe.

                He 17-0 doe.

                He tall doe.

                Maidana fans:

                Maidana beat him doe.

I'll have a more informed opinion after he fights Porter.

Too bad the Marcos that fought Floyd was a one fight thing. Even though broner got knocked down a few times he still fought back and win rounds. This woulda been a great fight. But chino rather wear Versace silk shirts and sleep in box cars lol
