Seems like Loeffler and Ward are better at providing details about negotiable fiascoes to the public, like the failed and ****** 164 bout..

Last time I checked Stevenson ran up on Kovalev and the Krusher ran away ring side. You'd assume some sort of retaliation if Kova truly wanted the Lineal or at least defend himself on television, whatever behavior, for the defacto boxing channel HBO....showing interest for the Lineal

Like most said at the time, it was just for show.

I do not believe that Stevenson is ducking Kovalev, if anything it is the other way around..... but nah that "confrontation" was rubbish.

Stevenson was " allowed " into the ring, and he " performed ".

Initially, I had a feeling that Stevenson may have been a little apprehensive, but now I can see that he would take that fight with both hands if offered.

Same with Sergey imho.

HBO/Duva, are clearly the roadblock.

Just like HBO/K2 were the roadblock for Golovkin/Ward.

Recently, HBO have likely killed even more fights than Bob Arum.

How can you have a purse bid when kov has an exclusive deal to fight with hbo - scumbag pimp has no deal with showtime

PBC is part of the CBS corporation/Viacom, means Spike TV, BET or Showtime and more, are all babies of CBS. You can be in contract with Showtime for major events, and fight on public television on different free platform related to CBS.
Which is a great move by PBC, against competition like UFC.
Haymon is trying to save boxing, not HBO.
Showtime says let's join efforts with HBO for a Unification, HBO says no, we dictate.
I guess Peter Nelson is not different from Hershman.

And by the way, in mid-March to mid-May 2015, Kovalev had no contract with HBO, which is exactly when they rejected the 1st purse bid; team Duva were bluffing all along, like they're still doing now. By using the name of Stevenson over & over, when they feel Kovalev hype is fading....

The most badass and hungry champion in the sport wants to completely unify all the titles and prove he's the best and he isn't allowed. That's what's wrong with the sport.

Believe that, like Duva & Klimas, YOU don't want that fight to ever happen, so Kovalev could keep his artificial hype.

Kovalev actually won that "WBC Diamond Belt" from Pascal, which was on the line or "invented" for the Pascal - Bute fight; When Pascal fought Bute in January 2014, that title was on the line. But lineal .... he got that one by beating Dawson(Lineal Champ) in June 2013. Which Hopkins lost to Dawson, so even if Kovalev gave a schoolin to Hopkins, doesnt mean nothing. And trust me, I dont like Stevenson either and I know him for a very long time. Just cant say he's ducking Kovalev, cuz infact it is a problem from Main Events side, as far as purse bid was about to happen ... and whoever wins, would have to broadcast it on their respective "Channel". And I think that Duva/Main Events/HBO didnt had the money to go against GYM/Haymon/Showtime.

haymon's empire is collapsing fast. soon stevenson and haymon will be forced to accept the fight on hbo's terms. all and all a brilliant strategy by hbo/duva. kinda like the cold war. made the soviet union bankrupt themselves with the arms race until they couldn't pay anymore.

At least in your sentence it's clear you admit Stevenson wants to fight Kovalev, but would be force to do it on HBO's terms. Humm! Great point of view, HBO wants the fight (buy the judges), but there's one error; KKK doesn't want it, it's all bluff.
