A few days ago, BoxingScene.com's Steve Kim first reported that a fight between former champions Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33KOs) and Ruslan Provodnikov (25-4, 18KOs) was discussed by Roc Nation Sports and Banner Promotions. The fight was being targeted for June 18th at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight would happen around the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.

This is a fight where cotto would shine, Blistering combinations to ruslans head and body all night long. Interesting dynamic because marvin somodio was like freddies apprentice and hes now ruslans head trainer. Still prefer Ruslan/Rios over this.

If Roc Nation and Banner can get over their beef for Cotto vs. Provodnikov, then why not Cotto vs. Andrade? I think that's a better fight! However Cotto vs. Provodnikov is a good scrap too! Make it happen!
