Martinez is on the slide bad. He was a very good fighter when Burns beat him but that was some 4 years ago. This is a different time. Loma didn't beat THAT Martinez.
was seen as a 50/50 fight remember a hell of a lot of people tipping russell to win. russell was ****** prospect of the year, absolutely demolished gonzalez since and won all his other fights easy. And his record aside, just watch him and you can see hes a top fighter. But yeah not a good win at all. Forgot im on NSB where every fighter is useless or a cherry picker

That's true, but the salido fights were right before that and I'm betting everyone still thinks salido is a good opponent. I have no problem with a guy entering a new division with a win over a top 10 rated opponent. If he isn't fighting the top guys in the next couple of fights then there's reason to complain.

You're damn right. Russel was a prospect so Lomas best win is over a prospect?

And who the *** doesn't beat Gonzalez? The Mares win flatters him but he was an old man. It's like saying omg Floyd beat Baldomir", when in reality we all know Baldomir means ****.

Look, the Salido fight was his best fight/opponent but he lost that. Since then he has beaten a propect, a couple of journeymen and an old fighter.

If Loma was being built up as a prospect/fringe contender, I'd have no problem but I'm supposed to believe he is p4p. Max says "he does things in the ring I've never seen a fighter do"...well how about he do something many fighters do, fight better opponents. That's all I'm saying. It's all about context.

no fight was 3 years after he won prospect of the year. Lomachenkos not some pro veteran, was his 5th pro fight or something like that. Was a great performance against a really skilled unbeaten fighter, simple as that

He'll get there. I genuinely feel like loma wants to prove himself. Someone doesn't ask for a title fight for their debut if they don't have legacy in mind. I don't see any reason why this guy already has detractors 7 fights into his career...wgaf what hbo is hyping him as, let the guy do his thing in the ring.

Russell Jr. is better than Salido. That being said, Lomachenko was totally unprepared to handle that mugging that Salido gave him. Styles make fights. Lomachenko beat the young quick guy easy, that should have been the hard fight, and lost to the old, slow, shopworn warhouse.

The guy that Lomachenko just beat at 130 ain't *****. It's a fairly shallow division.

Loma should only be fighting world title holders and looking to unify at least 2 other titles in the next 18 months.

There's not much to choose except Salido 2 and Salido said wants huge compensation. Walter's priced himself out, and someone from the Gamboa team said that Gamboa needed 1 to 2 more fights to get in the ring with Loma.

Loma said he might keep moving up if he doesn't get good fights. At 135 we could see him with Verdejo or Linares.

HBO has screwed up with Loma and GGG. They are both avoided and opponents want loads of money to lose. Instead of having GGG/Loma fighting 3 or 4 times against bums they should fight twice so they can afford to give their loser opponents more money. That's what i would do. That said Salido, Walters, and Gamboa are fights that are trying to get made.

It's just that with the current "prize fighting" model many guys just price themselves out. This model of boxing will fail and eventually in boxing the best will fight the best at their best or nobody will tune in.

We've seen it with Rigo, GGG, Lomanchenko, and Williams in older times. The current system in boxing doesn't work. Don't blame the fighters blame the corrupt system.

Never. He's a scared little coward, Walters knocks him out cold with a jab.

He ducked Rigo and will duck Santa Cruz because he's an overhyped Euro bum.
