Good step-up for Spence. Pleasantly surprised. Think he'll have too much pop for Algieri.

Good to see alot of people giving Algieri the props he deserves......shame hardly anyone did when Khan picked him as an opponent last year......

Good fight, il go with Spence late stoppage, think his power and skills might be a task with a backfoot Algieri.

He fought Khan different than he fought Manny and Ruslan.

Yeah exactly, he showed versatility, good tactics against Khan, top level guys have to show they can fight on the front and backfoot.

Spence is probably a bigger puncher than Provo, Khan or Pac at 147 but I like Algieri's chances of going the distance. Tough test for Spence, opportunity for both to demonstrate that they are legit contenders.

Algieri will be a solid test for Spence. Algieri is underrated and I'm glad Spence is ready to step up as far as competition, unlike many other boxers nowadays.

LOL @ cats who still think a fight is official if its listed on Boxrec. Boxrec just has a bunch of regular cats who update their database + schedule that run the gambit from complete morons to solid mfers like this site has. Its not official til a promoter announces it or there is a press release or that sorta thing.

I'm looking forward to this fight & hope it does become official officially. I think its a perfect first step into the big boy pool for Spence & gets him on the path of getting in the ring with Thurman, Brook or Porter by the end of the year or early 2017.

This is a great fight to see where Spence is at. Algieri is a tough, solid fighter who has given other world class fighters very tough fights. An impressive win would say a lot about Spence. It's no certainty that he will even win.
