Comments Thread For: Spence-Algieri, Glowacki-Cunningham Eyed For 4/16 PBC Card

The Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) continues to take shape, in spite of rumors (perhaps born of wishes) of the series meeting its eventual demise long before year's end.

Free-to-air Fox saw its flagship network officially enter the fold, launching on January 23 after its cable affiliate network Fox Sports 1 aired its first PBC card last September. The card on Fox - topped by Danny Garcia claiming a vacant welterweight belt with a 12-round win over Robert Guerrero - was the first of 10 shows due to air live in primetime on free network TV.

I heard about this fight and I am excited about it. I am a big Spence fan and this will give him a chance to prove himself against a well know and respected fighter. I think he will win big and be the first to KO the rugged Algieri.

No he wont , Algieri might even get stopped , Errol Spence is a very good fighter thats expected to go all the way in his career , I can tell you it was the Spence team that chose Algeiri not the other way around .

I think you are in for two rude awakenings when Spence destroys Algieri and Canelo destroys Khan. Time will tell.

Nice. Finally a Spence fight I'm looking forward to. This is gonna be a interesting fight to measure Spence vs others & puts him into the title fight discussion for real if he wins.

Also respect to Algieri for taking on the guys he's been taking on. Win, lose or draw this time around Algieri has been willing to test himself vs the best available guys since he got on the world class scene & I wish more guys did what he's doing.

Khan and Pacquiao obviously beat Algieri easily although he showed different looks in each of those fights so he is capable of adapting his style and game planning. This would be Spence's best opponent but the blueprints are there to beat Chris, plus he's been in a few difficult fights back to back already before this one.

Spence should win against this battleworn Algieri but you never know if Chris is on his game and hasn't been physically and psychologically destroyed by Khan & Pac, he might just pull a rabbit out the hat. Interesting match up though, looking forward to this one. Odds are that Spence is catching Algieri at the perfect time to make himself look good.
