First off, I hate the Golovkin/Brooks fight. It's a no-hope mismatch. Brook has a speed advantage where his punches land first, but Golovkin is a guy who will punch with you and lands with precision & power. Brook has no hope. The only value in this fight is that it breaks Golovkin into the UK market where there are some meaningful fights like Saunders, Eubank, DeGale, Groves, and Callum Smith. Maybe even Ogogo in a year or two.

Second off throw the hate at Eubank, Saunders, Canelo, and Jacobs. Those are the top MW's and they all turned Golovkin down. When Canelo chose Khan, nobody would've turned down a chance to fight Canelo. Both Golovkin/Brooks & Canelo/Khan are complete **** fights, but where Canelo openly seeked out the easy fight, Golovkin was reduced by time & options.

Golovkin could've fought Lee, Khurtsidze, Korobov, Heiland, Johnson, or Chudinov but they went with the money & publicity freak show fight. It'll do big numbers in the UK & Europe tv and hopefully give him a footing in the UK where he'll be the bigger draw over Eubank, Saunders and DeGale making them want to fight him. But as for the fight itself, I could careless about watching it b/c yeah it's a farce of a fight.
