Whyte's swing for the sky technique is good for KOing lower level journeymen but as soon as he goes higher level (ie, AJ and Parker) then it falls apart. Parker fought Minto ages ago and fought higher levels since and stepped up his power and technique heaps since - Bowie Tupou and Whyte would be an amusing fight, Whyte is above him but not as much as it seems people here seem to think. Guessing there are a lot of Poms in here.

Parker had fought mostly higher opposition than Joshua until Joshua went against Whyte (and is probably lucky Whyte hurt himself). Parker has not lost a round or looked in any danger yet people somehow think he's not a thing. Keep it up, it may help when I need to place a bet sometime.
    1. Dillian Whyte is several levels above Bowie Tupou

    2. Parker "boxed" those guys because he had to, he tried to take bergman out early like Nagy Aguilera and Akhror Muralimov had done but he failed and had to go 8 torrid rounds with him.

    3. Paker had NOT fought better opposition than Joshua before the Whyte fight, you might rate Kali Meehan and the rest of those bums higher than Kevin Johnson and Dennis Bakhtov but I certainly don't, and if you take Meehan out of the equation, who else is on there?

Old Matt Skelton would KO Bowie Tupou, and it'd be a hard call between Sprott and Minto

The point is all those fights were developmental for fast improving young
fighter. Most fights you are talking about Parker fought very early in his
career.Parker has way more speed and lot better conditioning than Whyte.
Whyte overweight and his stamina is no good.

        Nearly there

Parker is so close to a title fight he can smell it.
One step up fight and he is there.
I agree with everybody he needs to fight in the States or England.
Takam would be the perfect fight.

He could be next in line for WBO as well.

Man, war52 you need to get off Parker's **** and stop being delusional.

Parker has yet to be tested or prove to be worthy yet, he hasn't really fought anyone tbh. He has potential to be great but we need to see him against top quality opponents for the boxing world to give him full credit!

Until then lets wait and not get our heads up

I'm getting tired of this, "No one wants to fight him!" line that Parker's handlers keep throwing out. Maybe if they offered fighters a decent incentive to come over to NZ they'd get a few more offers. In fact I'm certain they would. Parker's a beast, but that just means the risk reward ratio is higher. Duco don't seem to understand that, or perhaps they're content lowballing guys in order to build up a false image of Parker as the heavyweight division's most feared man in order to lure in the NZ casuals and continue to rake in low level but steady purses keeping their man fighting on the bum circuit. Parker meanwhile stagnates and looks increasingly like an all bark no bite bitch among international fans who aren't fooled by him and his team's BS.

The truth is only Klitschko and Povetkin have good resumes.
Parker needs to fight in the States or the Uk.
Takam is the guy they need to fight.
I think Duco his promoter are the problem.

Yeah you got a point man. He shouldn't have turned down the offer when Oscar DLH asked to promote his fights, DLH would get him a title fight or better opponents in the states with a resume like Tua.

At least Golden Boy Promotions would do a better job than dumb ass Duco Events.

Not staying in new Zealand he isn't.

They made a offer of $500k to Joshua. The Whyte fight bagged him many times more than that.

Parker at the moment is fighting travelling journey men. That won't change unless he starts travelling.

If he does win a title, against anyone decent
due to purse bids he will be defending away from home.
