I agree with reed, Mayweather not concerned with legacy, he's made his mark. But i do think he may fight Khan...IF he wins & IF the numbers are right, both ppv and purse.

Even if by a long shot Khan wins but the ppv underperforms May won't be tempted back.

They said Canelo-Floyd would be a lock if Nelo beat Cotto. That worked out great

No it isn't. Mayweather said for the 19 thousandth time he has no desire what so ever to fight again. He wants to retire with all his faculties. He wants to retire on his terms with his health and not have boxing retire him. He was a boxer to show his skills and he has done that. He is not out to break Marciano's record. Marciano was great and Floyd is great but they are different boxers and he is not competing with Marciano. He wants to stay out of the ring and the potential danger to his health a return to boxing poses. He wants to concentrate on his promotion company. In my opinion Khan doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating Canelo. I think Canelo will shatter Khan's glass jaw into a million pieces within the first 3 rounds and leave Khan out cold Kirkland style. Khan may then actually stop his constant bragging and self praises for a short time.

Yeah only way I see him coming back is when he's 50 and might be broke because of his lifestyle . Dude gamble large and loves them hookers.

No way. I doubt he comes back and even if he did he would never come back to fight Khan. Maybe a Berto rematch or Danny Garcia, someone who he knows he can beat. And that's just being completely hypothetical, because I very much doubt Khan beats Canelo.

              Very possible.

Floyd's hinting at Danny Garcia, which makes sense.

But if Khan were to beat Canelo I think that fight with Mayweather would be huge.

                How many times.

He's worth right under a billion dollars. You don't get punched in the face anymore when you're 40 and worth that much.

He doesnt care about legacy all that much, if he did he wouldn't of wasted his last fight on Berto.

He's got all the money he needs, no point in risking losing his 0 now.

The odd thing this time is floyd actually brought up garcia, a 50th fight, "if i came back" ect without being asked. He still has spending money, hes missing the attention and getting jealous of other fighters getting hype.

Im for him coming back for a fight or two but only if he can keep it at that. I dont want to see him become another Roy Jones, which Im worried about a bit because floyd is pretty insecure at times. You need to be a solid guy mentally to stay out forever when everyone keeps asking you to come back. Lennox did it, most others dont.

Garcia then Khan. Damn, 51-0, what a way to leave the sport. A win over the Middleweight WBC/Ring champ Amir Khan

If Floyd can actually get himself motivated for Garcia, I would be shocked. If you put yourself in Floyd's shoes and think about the money you have, and the accomplishments, the belts, the record, the resume, it's like 'What the hell do I need to fight for?" He'd pretty much have to really want to fight and go the gym and train. Like I said, all that money, the resume, accomplishments, record PPV sales/revenue, it's gonna be hard to get motivated.

Theres two sides to it. Mayweather has that fear of becoming a boxing causality like roger, but what would happen if mayweather actually lost? I have no idea how he would handle it, could he retire for good on a loss or is he going to become a roy jones where he tries to justify it in his head why hes still as good as he always was and takes another fight to prove something.

Theres almost no chance floyd looses or even gets hurt fighting garcia, he would get both money and more importantly, attention. From there if he keeps taking fights, eventually he will loose and this is a guy who was even robbed in the olympic finals so he has 20+ years before he can even find a fight he believes he lost.

                      True.

But now he's actually mentioned Garcia as a possible opponent for a 50th fight it's made me think. Maybe he will.

It makes sense in the sense that Garcia is undefeated, WBC Champion at 147, a good name and an easy payday for Floyd and easy way to get that 50.

I don't see Floyd going past 50 though.
