‘’Let Ward first beat Barrera before we start talking about Kovalev-Ward. This is a very difficult fight. It may happen that Kovalev would eventually fight with Barrera, and not with Ward. Andre has not been in the ring for a long time. We do not know what to expect from him. I look forward to this fight, probably more than anyone else.’’ Klimas told ES News.

So basically they're saying they will judge the performance of Ward to even consider Ward vs Kovalev, regardless IF Ward still wins... why is that K2 & family always say the dumbest shlT. Of course Paul Smith ain't no Marquez, but you didn't read that Mosley wouldn't consider Floyd because he was inactive.. pussie talk to me.

''we weren't impressed with Ward's performance. We decided to give the fans a real performance by showing what Kovalev can do to Barrera. Perhaps had Ward not been 'inactive' we'd reconsider the fight for November.'' -K2 & Family

Barrera is a live dog hes not going out easy. Ward might struggle but get the job done.

          ^ Dumbf*uck doesn't know that:
          (1) Klimas is a manager
          (2) Kovalev is not with K2

Not sure where you got that part from. Kovalev is contracted to fight Ward provided he beats Barrera. Period.

All he is saying here is that Ward could lose, and that they'd fight Barrera if he did.

Puncher's chance? KOvalev could keep Ward at bay with his movement and use of jab, effectively rendering Ward helpless by using boxing fundamentals. He can make a mess of Ward with nothing more than the jab. And Ward doesn't really have a puncher's chance either.......he's going to be in trouble.

                SMH........

Only a Ward fan could/would twist what they said in that article. He was saying that Ward might not even get passed Barrera because he hasn't done much of anything since 2013 and Barrera is a legit LHW, hence it's going to be a difficult fight for Ward. If Ward gets his ass whooped by Barrera, Killa Kov is probably going to fight him since he will be Kovalev's mandatory.

Only an idiot chooses to dismiss that the whole boxing world had already been raving for Kovalev vs Ward way BEFORE Barrera was even mentioned! lol. Somehow NOW it's practical and satisfactory to say ''IF.'' As others had mentioned, don't think twice if HBO is worried about Kovalev losing to Ward. These are the statements the work effectively to get into another boxer's head and give boners to the opposing fanbase.

To be fair, B-hop didn't exactly stand his ground in that fight either. After feeling the power in the first round, he was in pure survival mode. He did try later in the fight, and caught again. Then mailed it in. I can't remember B-hop winning more than 2 rounds that fight.

That fight reminds me of Pac vs Mosley... Can't knock out or catch a fighter that is really not fighting.

That is no knock on B-hop though, dude is 50.
