Unlike most I want to see that Loma-Rigo fight.
At first I understood why people didn't want to see it happen, but at the end of the day when are we ever going to have a situation like this again. 2 2x Olympic Gold medalist and they fight around the same weight.
This is a fight that years from now people will wonder why it never happened.
So I don't care what anyone says, I want to see that fight.

Loma has to defeat Walters first, obviously. People's excuse as to why the Rigo fight can't happen is because Loma "ducked" Walters. Well the Walters is hopefully here, so lets see what people say afterwards.

We first have to wait and see if this Loma-Walters fight gets finalized. Can't trust words.
I got a link it's in spanish let me know if you need translation bit here arum and Valdez are Basicly saying that they want loma to move up so Valdez can take that title

It's obvious why they want Loma to move up. They know Valdez can't beat Loma and Arum obviously prefers hispanic fighters over European fighters (there shouldn't be favoritism to begin with), so of course he'll do anything to give Valdez and easy belt.
People think Eastern Europeans/Central Asian get favored which is simply not true.
I like Valdez by the way, he's one of my favorite contenders, but it's the truth.

If Loma were down for it, it would be cool if he kept his 126 belt and fought at 130 as well. He could double up in those divisions for a while. There are still some fights at 126 and there is several fights at 130.

"Needs a network" about a fight where both guys been fighting on HBO is an interesting problem lol. Sounds like some soon to be fun Youtube videos with Arum re-dogging Nelson in the future.

Hope they figure this **** out cuz this is a good fight.

This will either wind up on HBO, or maybe this is the fight that re-opens someone other then Haymon getting real (non Showbox) fights on Showtime.

As long as the fight happens, I am down.

Arum: Lomachenko vs Walters is almost made, looking for a network to televise it

Good news for us, I've been waiting for this fight for a long time. good that Lomachenko is finally stepping up, however I don't understand why HBO wouldn't televise such a fight? I thought Arum, Lomachenko and Walters all have deals with HBO?!!

I also hope they don't drain Walters down to 126 for this fight, the man had difficulties making the weight and moved up to 130 where he already fought once, the fight has to be at 130 lbs imo.

Already posted here a few times. Everyone doubts this is true. There is still a lot of debate over whether or not Walters contract expired and him being a free agent.

If this is true, Lomachenko deserves all the praise in the world

It's really too bad this fight was not marinated. I would have loved to see Walters with 1 or 2 losses and Lomachenko get knocked down a few times before making the fight. Now we get them undefeated, it's not fun that way in Top Rank land.

IKR, who the hell wants to see two fighters getting in the ring undefeated and in their prime?

there's a reason this kinda matches almost never happen, it feels weird!
