I'm sure the WBC won't mind creating another belt for Canelo to contest they could call it something fancy like the 'Canelo WBC 155 belt' to win it you gotta be called Saul Alvarez and have a shyt ton of fans who don't care who you fight or even regardless of if you win, they just love drinking beer and eating taco yet are prepared to spend a hundred bucks watching you crush cans.
    You're right about one thing.

Golovkin should grit his teeth, accept the fight at 155, then proceed to beat Canelo's ass. Doing so in front of a big PPV audience would make him a star and he'd be the A-side shotcaller from then on. It's mind numbingly simple but Team Golovkin doesn't get it.

I don't know about that whole drinking beer and eating tacos thing but you're off base about Canelo fighting cans. He's been in there with Trout, Floyd, Lara, and Cotto...his resume shits all over GGG's if we're being honest.

GGG already knows the weight he'd be willing to fight Canelo at. K2 has nothing to gain by offering a lower weight at this point months before negotiations start. They are doing the smart and responsible thing. It's all talk until the two weeks after the Canelo/Kahn fight. If they just want the belt, they'll force him to vacate and fight him somewhere down the line. If they want the $$$ now, they know exactly how low they'll go.

And if they do meet, I suppose you'll be betting on the guy with the better resume, right? Cause we all know resumes win fights.

Floyd don't walk around at 155 dum ass, he walks around at 150-151

Khan has been hiding behind the A-side thing for years now in order to avoid Brook, so no, you're wrong there buddy.

This guy has no fire in his belly. I don't care how impressive he's been so far, he has no ambition to be the best and this just confirms it. All we ever hear from his camp is "We won't do this" and "We won't do that". Pathetic.

He could get the easiest KO of his career, even weight drained.

As much as hate catchweights, I can see doing it to make a fight, but it should not be forced. If some one is moving up, they are at a disadvantage.
Khan would need GGG at 150, that would make it a 50/50 fight, isn't that the whole point of handicapping?

Either way GGG needs to break thru, he should bend a little or the divas will never fight him.

Then why wouldn't he negotiate with Cotto and Canelo ?

GGG can't give Khan a catchweight, he would look like a b1tch after refusing those other 2 guys.

I feel exactly the same way.

Those asshat's spent THREE YEARS stating that they can beat anyone from 154-168, and yet when push comes to shove..... "We won't do this" and "We won't do that".

And it's not like it's the first time either.

For the record, regarding all of those promises..... not only have they made no effort whatsoever to live up to that HYPE, they have flatly refused to operate outside 160 for 3 world-class fighters, 2 of whom are superstars and huge paydays.

Please, if Khan wins he will ask to make a deal for a tune up fight and GGG will acquiesce just like he did for Cotto and Canelo. Khan's not fighting that monster at 160. Mr. Step Aside will play the waiting game again.

Abel is living in some alternate reality where people give a f#ck about what he says cuz he's talking way too much about **** these days.

Plus the reality is is boxing isn't just a sport, its a sport where putting asses in seats & selling PPV's means something & Canelo does that better than GGG does so GGG is gonna need to fight Canelo where Canelo wants the fight or GGG won't be fighting Canelo til he's 37, 38 years old. Either way GGG isn't gonna get this fight under ideal conditions & GGG, K2 & even Abel's goofy ass need to realize that.
