How come there aren't that many films of the old past Black greats? Even Mickey Ward has a movie based on him. Marciano, Cinderalla Man, Jake LaMotta, a fictional character Rocky Balboa, another fictional character Billy Hope. Has Ali been the only African American boxing great with a movie based on him(and also a movie playing himself)? And Creed the fictional character.

How about crazy figures of boxing like Mike Tyson? That would be so interesting. Joe Louis too, he has an interesting story behind him. Jack Johnson would also be a very controversial character to make a movie about. A while ago I saw Jamie Foxx talking about a Mike Tyson movie he was gonna do, starring him as Tyson. I wonder how that's going now. It was supposedly going to be directed by Martin Scorcese according to Foxx himself, which you know would have been epic with Scorcese's history. The writers of Boardwalk Empire/Wolf of Wall Street were preparing the script for the Tyson movie. I really hope it comes out. With Scorcese's name attached to it, you know it would be big.

So I just read up on it. Okay so it looks like they're still working on it. Foxx, Tyson and Scorcese(director of Raging Bull) sat down to talk to Paramount about it. So looks like that is still in the works. I guess Foxx is getting built up for that. To play Tyson in his prime you gotta have that thick ass neck though, how you're gonna get that

"The untitled project will focus on Louis’ historic two fights with German boxer Max Schmeling."

The ****? They are just going to make a movie in which the whole of the US, with no care for colour, has gotten behind their boy Louis, smh, sounds like a political **** fest to me.

Also, if I'm being honest, Jack Johnson, Bernard Hopkins and Ray Robinson all had more colourful lives and/or careers. I think we're getting a Robinson film at some stage and Tyson is happening with Foxx on board. All we need is someone cast as Hopkins.

              Hopefully not Will Smith.

But nobody is a bigger fa*got than Jamie Foxx. I'm still trying to get past the fact that he's scheduled to play Tyson.

They'll probably get a lesser known actor to play Louis.

Scorcese doe. Plus Foxx does have Ray and Django Unchained.

What I hope he pulls off is Tyson's voice with the "th" and all.
