Irish heavyweight Kevin McBride is in line for a world title shot after recently signing a deal with infamous promoter Don King.

'The Clones Colossus', who ended the career of Mike Tyson last June, has been promised a bout with reigning WBO champion Serguei Lyakhovich.


Reports suggest the fight could take place in Boston as soon as August.



Lyakhovich recorded a shock of his own with victory over Lamon Brewster a few weeks ago, and is eager to make his first defence against the Monaghan man.

Perhaps the win against Tyson now finally gives him a title shot but i doubt the money will be big since not many know Lyakhovich and most don't care about McBride .
