    Aids

Morrison got aids or hiv, because he was having it off with all these hookers. That is why he retired.
    Later brother brologs.

awesome power and good speed,,,,but downright incredibly bad stamina,,,a leaky defense and suspect chin. never before have I seen a professional top 20 fighter tire after 3 rounds as often as morrison. it was probably all mental

Morrison had the best HW left hook since probably Frazier. And nobody has surpassed it since. It was better than textbook. Shorter than short, quick, and with KO power. When he had it tuned and working it was probably the best punch in the division for years.

He had stamina and defensive problems. He got used to watching everyone fall once he hit them and when he ran into Mercer and he didn't fall, so then Morrison was clueless and had never been hurt or anything before, did not know how to hold on, pace himself, etc.

I can't believe you guys haven't seen him fight. Nearly every one of his major fights was televised from some early ESPN fights on. I've already guessed there's a lot of teenagers here, though- hehe.

His best performances were getting up off the canvas to stop Ruddock and The Truth, and his relatively easy win over Foreman (who went on from the Morrison loss to KO Moorer). His fight with Hipp was really exciting, also. Morrison had a broken hand and jaw in the fight and stopped Hipp late. As someone said, it was KO or be KO'd with Morrison. He could have been a much better fighter with a better trainer and team, but he was exciting while he lasted.

And yes, he got HIV from ****ing too many Vegas strippers probably. He was positive with it when he fought Lewis, and he bled in the fight. Scary.

This is what is commonly referred to as a "left hook," kids. Down goes Ruddock.

Awesome hook! I wish you put up the other angle of that punch from the side. You can really see how short and devastating his hook was!

He only had 3 losses all by ko and he was only 27 when he had to retire because he contracted hiv! Who knows what might have been with the right trainer. He definately was a tough sob!

saw a lot of his fights

I saw a lot of his fights, his wins over Carl "the truth" Williams, Donovan "razor" Ruddock, George Foreman, Joe Hipp, Yuri Vaulin and his losses to Michael Bentt, Ray Mercer and Lennox Lewis.

Morrison was a big puncher with a monstrous left hook. He was also fast on his feet, had good handspeed and good overall athletic ability. His weakness was defence. His chin was suspect although not as bad as Floyd Patterson's for example, and he didn't know what to do sometimes when he got hurt. If you were a fan of his he could give you ulcers. Even when he won he sometimes took heavy punishment (like in the Joe Hipp fight) or was in danger of being knocked out himself (like in the Ruddock or Carl Williams fights). I always loved watching him, but it was a rollercoaster experience. I believe that his best fight was his win over Foreman. He used superior footspeed to move in and out on big George, and landed short combinations on the inside. Foreman never hurt Morrison and was soundly beaten on the scorecards.
