Everybody wants to leave TR once they find out how ****ty their contract is and how much money they are actually worth.

i agree with most fighters when it comes to leaving TR, but not this time...mikey was the Aside int he gamboa fight by a long shot..he was getting over 1 million and he held out while he offered easier fights to hbo and they said no..when he got the no he basically left TR no choice if he didnt fight gamboa..and he is where he is today..inactive..hell they both are

mikey was talkin all that "future pacquiao" opponent crap just like the rest of TR guys..but he didnt want to work to be that...hbo was allowing him to prove it by beating gamboa just like they did crawford..and pac isnt smaller than mikey like he is crawford so he would have likely got the fight...when mikey found out the road to pac was harder than just washed up fighters he decided to moan and complain...that is the physical evidence i see

Read up on the actual specifics of the case. They weren't basing their complaints on the fact that he had to fight Gamboa.

It's all about how much he was getting paid vs how much Arum was making off him, along with when exactly the contract with Top Rank was supposed to end.

u right i dont know the case, but i do know he didnt make a peep of noise until hbo said gamboa or nothing...that is the the physical evidence we do have and that we can find bc it is out there..it is all in a timeline if u want to look..

What was the exact problem with the contract? I believe Chavez Jr. complained of a hidden extension clause once he reached the end of his contract.

One of those never ending top rank contracts. If you lose you owe us another fight, if you win you owe us another fight. I guess he had to hope for a draw.
